An opportunity to design with the constraints of a small residential lot along with real expectations from governmental and community members.
My project focused on the ability of this Additional Rental Unit (ARU) program to give families more housing space as well as passive income in an area that is geographically strained. The opportunity for familiar generations to stay close to one another, while not needing to worry about the purchase of land is something I implemented throughout my design.
